I’ve always had an itch to travel to other countries and experience new cultures. Through The Academy internship with SOS, I had the opportunity to go to Northern India for about 11 days. It was a whirlwind experience and we spent a lot of time in planes, trains, and scary taxi cabs. The whole trip was definitely very eye opening. I’ve been to Latin American countries, where Christianity/Catholicism has roots. But India’s roots being in Hinduism was a whole new history to acknowledge. And for most of the population, it isn’t just history and is still a part of their lives. It was a humbling and, at times, heartbreaking exposure to the country and culture.

There is so much more I could say about the trip and if you’re interested, let’s talk about it in real life!

  1. I want a copy of the rainbow pic, the two boys (one has a red and blue knitted hat on and the others has a scarf-like thing on and the scenic pic two up from the rainbow one. It has a skinny little tree in the foreground and mountains in the background.
